Wooddreaming Cedar Strip Canoes are handmade by steaming strips of white cedar, over a wood burning stove, and forming the unique design of each canoe.
The strips are glued and nailed to begin the durable construction process.
They are then hand sanded and a heavy fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin is applied inside and out.
The carrying yoke, made from beautiful cherry wood is hand formed to sit comfortably on your shoulders.
The gunwales and seats are made of a light ash. A decorative inlay is featured in the decks with cherry and ash, using very durable brass hardware to accent the natural beauty of the wood grains.
Several coats of marine grade varnish are applied by hand to enhance and protect as well as complete the water seal process, and make a very lightweight easy to handle boat.
